Twilight

The sounds of wind—from gentle breezes to violent storms, from the mistral to the rustling of trees, from soft whispers to sharp whistles—are evoked like silent words in a meditation on landscape. This inner silence of contemplation is, for me, a state of pure happiness. My artworks connect me with stillness and tranquility, with the raw beauty of nature: trees, the shifting grays of mountains, and the fleeting play of light.

Nature finds its way into my paintings through golden horizons, abstract lines, and eventually through figurative drawings—portraits and monotypes of local plants. In recent works, I have created new compositions incorporating these plants, exploring the complex emotions they evoke. Leaves, barks, and other natural elements carry symbolic meanings tied to psychology and health, becoming vessels of both memory and feeling.

My works are filled with sincerity and trust, yet remain layered with ambiguity, reminding us of the fragility of our shared nature. Moving between abstraction and figuration, they open pathways to new horizons and invite us to question our foundations, our journeys, and the future that awaits.
