Deep blue

Here, blue is dominant: a deep blue, with infinite nuances, created using a photographic process called cyanotype. This process involves placing my drawings on paper soaked in a photosensitive liquid. Exposing the artwork to sunlight, to daylight, allows for a transformation that reveals multiple shades of blue. The overall effect is a chiaroscuro, accentuated by abstract forms and highlighted drawings, where emptiness is predominant.

For me, blue is the quintessential color, offering infinite nuances, possibilities of transparency and depth that no other color can match. Blue expresses eternity, the boundless space that surrounds us. It is a color that is both calm and energetic, ideal for allowing the emergence of our human condition, our dreams, our feelings, and our nostalgia.
